Hello... I'm a newbie with an interesting question. I bought the parts to build a 24"x48" router with 1" Thomson supported rods for the X axis. I have a choice of two kinds of pillow blocks for this axis - 1) Thomson SPB16OPN (the aluminum square blocks) 2) Thomson PBO16OPN (the plastic shell bearing assembly with a cast iron mounting frame) I want to make this machine to cut as accurately and with as little shake as possible. Which set of bearings should I go with? Thank you, Ken |
