I'm designing a steel framed gantry style machine, and wondered whether, as I do it and produce the drawings, it would be useful to anyone if I were to post the dxf s of the drawings, or the solid models (done in Solidworks, but could be saved as Step files or parasolid, I think). Is there a part of this site that it ought to go in, if deemed a good idea? I should mention that the design is as yet a work in progress, but I have a few drawings now. Tony |

| I would recommend not posting the final drawings anywhere until you are reasonably satisfied that there won't be any changes made after posting them. Revision tracking multiple changed drawings can be cumbersome. Maybe the forum moderator has some suggestions as to a preferred location for them. Start a build log in the CNC Wood Router Project Log forum and show us what you are doing. Photos and in-progress drawings are ok there. Make your build log title descriptive enough to make searches easily find it. CarveOne
