Im a college student, mech engineer. been workin with mills and lathes for a while understand the basics. now i got the mechanical basics of a cnc well established. my question is what would it take to get the following design to handle soft metal such as aluminum, and what would it cost http://www.instructables.com/id/Easy...lling-Machine/    |

Take a look at some of these. http://www.crankorgan.com/pics.html The cost and ability of your diy cnc to cut aluminum depends on how resourceful you are and the rigidity of what you put together. |
