DIY Cnc Router Help

Hi

Do you guys know of any plans that contain ready to print sheets, which can be fixed onto a sheet of mdf, and then scroll sawed? And then with a complete BOM so that I just have to run around my local hardware stores?

Because I have found/bought some plans that are just pdfs/ cad files full of tehcnical drawings, which in a practical sense are no use to me.

Or Maybe you guys could help me?

Thanks alot

here are the best 2 that come to mind

http://www.instructables.com/id/How-...-Cheaply-and-/

this one is one of the best ive seen step by step with cut sheets, BOM's and exactly the items you would need. I am currently building this router and have not had any trouble at all following it. best of all, the plans are FREE!

the second is
http://www.instructables.com/id/Easy...lling-Machine/
I havent done this one yet but am planning on it after the first build just to play around with. this plan sources stepper motors from dot matrix printers and even has instructions on building your own controller from scratch.

If you like to build and want to learn, I would highly recomend starting with one of these.

Hope this helps,
Don

Hi

Thanks, I will take a look, and see if I can source the products in the uk!
I especially like the fact it has a ready to print/saw pattern!

I think mcmaster carr will ship to the UK and 95% of the parts can be sources from there. Shipping would probobly kill u but it's an option if u had too.

I believe McMaster-Carr only ships to the US.
