The shop I work at is giving me a cnc control and the three servo's that go with it.Its off an esab flamecutting machine that has been retrofitted to plasma.Would this be an easy or difficult conversion for a wood router?I have a lot of cnc machining/programming experience, but no machine building/ electronic experience. The motors have L-tec on one side and esab on the other. Is rack and pinion a good way to go for a router, or are ballscrews a better way to go?I don't have all the info right now, as I just found out they were going to give it to me.I'm confident I can build a machine, but want to know if anyone here could offer their opinion. |
