Hi All, We are still very new to the use and operation of our CNC machine but have another question. We want to purchase a Gast 4.5 hp 3 phase motor and want to get an inverter to run it from our single phase service. Most place we have looked say it is a hard load start. The question we have is what size do we need? They talk about soft load and hard load starts. What is the difference, except the price being quite a bit more, for the one used for the hard load? Can we use one for a soft load start without causing harm to the motor? Thanks, Larry |
