I am build a datacut CNC (60x38x8), which calls for a 1/2" Z lead screw. I am having trouble fitting the antibacklash nut in the space provided (30mm using hiwin #20 bearings and rails). I can make a 1/4" nut fit, with some trimming on the flange. Is 1/4" too small for Z axis? Other options? thanks |

| i have 1/4 20 tpi screws on my maxnc. They are a bit flimsy and will whip. Both ends need to be supported. With it only being 8 inches of travel and hopfully not alot of weight it might be able to do it. If your cutting harder materials, even wood, then I would slow do the plundge rate. You can bend them pretty easy. But my maxnc has a 18 in table and it moves ok. |
