I've built my first CNC machine and it's working pretty well. The biggest issue with it now is that I didn't include any good way to clamp down the pieces I'm working on. I'm looking for suggestions. The only idea I have found is buying a plate of aluminum and put threaded holes in it. I'm imagining a big plate of alluminum (3'x3') would be expensive. I'm also not sure what thickness I'd need. If you want more details on my machine, I have a build log here. I'd really appreciate some of the people with experience on what worked well or didn't work posting here. Also if you can suggest suppliers that would be great. |

| ive got the mdf t slot which works great for holding stuff down and is cheap but my personal favourite remains the hot gluegun , it holds well and is easily removeable
