Hi. There's a lot of builders in this forum, so I thought this might be the place to ask. I have a Precix 9000 HPGL router. I want to update it to run GCode. So, can I just replace the controller with a PC loaded with a Gecko board and maybe a buffer box? Will I need to replace the stepper motors with servos or should I keep them? Servos might be a worthwhile investment, as I've seen steppers slip when run too fast. |
