Hi all- I was here browseing about 6-7 months ago when I started concieving my home brew duplicator design. I remember seing a pop-up style ad for a simple looking router motor which had no stuff attached to the outer case, it just looked like an aluminum cylinder with a collet comming out of one end. Can someone remember the link or whatever there was on how to find that again ? I have no idea how to word a search for that particular thing ! Any help would be joyiously accepted ! Tim |

Ger21.... Thanks for the reply .... No that wasn't it... maybe I can explain what it was a little better. Immagine taking a common wood router or laminate trimmer and removing all the outside parts off of it right down to the motor housing. That's what this was, an alternative to buying a commercial one and stripping it down. I think it was under 50$ . I liked it because it had an outside case just like a cylinder , I could design a tube with a slit in the side that could form a clamp/socket to hold it rigidly and be able to slide up and down when the clamp was "open". ( like a collet made from a tube ) Most of the commercial routers have bulges and things on the ends. Does anyone remember this ??????? Just a basic router that you could build arround. Tim |
