| Depends what you mean by simple. Alibre Xpress is free, and pretty easy to learn. You might also want to look at Silo. www.nevercenter.com

| I only use SolidWorks myself so I really can't give you too much advise. SolidWorks is great, but expensive and more suited to complicated parts and assemblies. The learning curve is also very unforgiving. Still, you can import it into Vectric's Cut 3D. |

| Whatever you do, download and try demos before buying. Rhino has an excellent demo and isn't too much to buy (relative to other packages). Check out Novedge, they're selling the educational version for $145! |
