learning G code

Im looking to find books or website that have info on g code and there meanings and terms and definitions of varablies and how to use them.

i look at the artsoft web site review the demo but find there
to be lacking and not complete to give a newbie a understanding
of how the structure is write and how the term and variable are used
or defined.

anyone that have any good material, or advice please post.

The good website is Haas website and meau.com, first learn what the G-code then once you know what they are doing, it is matter of sub number to variable.

check out smartflix.com they are a video rental site like netflix (not associated) but they rent instructional videos. They have a couple on G-Code, very intensive, they cost about $10 to rent. Well worth it.
