Hello all, I've just seen it on the web : http://www.nexengroup.com/rps it's seem to be very interesting for long run routers... like surf shaping machine or longboard cutting router. Does anybody has some infos about Nexen's system? That would help me to choose between using rack and pinion and ball screws or Nexen's RPS to run my 1.5meters router X-axis. Thanks Michel |

| There are several threads here discussing it. It's a very expensive choice.

Gerry you're right next time I will check using the search engine if similar posts exist. Anyhow, even if nexen's linear design seems to be very cool it is also very expensive you are right again! So I will develop my router table with long ball screws. Consequently I have an other question : Router table will be : length 1500 x 500 width (process length) In this case should I use a double ball screw design (with belt and pulleys to synchronize) for X-axis? Thanks Michel |

It depends on how rigid your machine is, but two screws tends to be the preferred method.
