New Machine Build- Our first machine is being cut out now.

I just sent out our files to my friend with a CNC. He's cutting out the pieces for the Lionclaw machine: LC50B.

I'll post some pictures when we start assembling.

It's being made from MDF and I guess there is a new waterproof MDF. Has anyone used the new stuff? Or has anyone tried painting their machine. I would be a little concerned about warping, but would like it to be slightly water resistant since it will be in my workshop in the basement. It's a little humid down there. But it's my only space. Thanks!

Application of primer and paint will make it waterproof..I personally experimented with test piece of MDF and found satisfactory results..Just paint it all around don't leave a pin hole

Sounds good. I have a sprayer set up that should make short work of that. I suppose I should test fit everything first.

just check the joe thread... Prior to application of primer just give a coat of glue+40% water mixture...This will restrict the absorption and consumption of paint
