Are there better deals elsewhere? My eyes have been bleeding over ebay for days trying to find the right lengths at the right cost.

The end machining is very inexpensive from what ive been quoted in the past. And the price of ground ballscrews are very reasonable. Know of anyone that has ordered from here before? I'm tempted to in the near future.

No seriously, this guy has an ebay auction running for the "service fee" for ballscrew machining. The ebay auction is written in dicey "Engrish" but I emailed him for clarification. He responded with the link to that little pricing applet. I punched the numbers just for grins and figured out that it'd take about 360 clams to replace the 4' x axis screw on my homemade router.

I wonder how they know what diameter to machine the ends to?
