Hi, i am building my first cnc router, and have a question. Is 18AWG cable good to wire the incoming 110V to the power supply? It uses 110V 8AMP AC. The leads will only be 4 inch long. And i also want to use that wire 18AWG for my stepper motors. And switches. Best regards Anuibisbot |

| The info I have for enclosure wiring show ampacity rating of 7amps for 18awg. If it is not higher for a lengthy continuous period, then it should be marginally OK. Al.

| Thats good, and i will use a star wiring from the plug port to the 2 power supply's. So i will have 6 amp on the Big Stepper power supply and 1.6 Amp on the 5V power supply. Than i should be in a good save zone. The plug it self i rated as 10 AMP. What wire should i use to run from the controller box to the steppers it will be about 5ft. Rating is 36V2.8Amp phase for the steppers. 18AWG? 20AWG? Best regards Anubisbot |
