I want a cnc router that can cut 3d rc helicopter blades- approx 2 inches wide but 12 inches long and about 3/4 inch thick.I also plan on cutting some carbonfiber sheet stock. Is it realistic to make my own? what cost and time are we talking about? I live in hawaii and everthing will prob have to bought online- paradise till you try to buy something-yesh. The blades are basically and airplane wing-flat bottom profiled top Any help would be great-esp if you give cost/accuracy/reliabilty pluses/minuses etc Trevor |

| My blades have the same profile from root to tip. If this is your case, i suggest you buy one of these very cheap electric hand planers. Let a grindshop make two airfoil shaped set of blades, one for the top, another for the bottom. Then make a jig to run the planer in while shaping the blade. |
