Hi I hope this thread make sense, I wonder how I would go about make a router with 400 to 600mm z-travel. I would like to be able to mill deep pockets in moulds and in wood for radical relief, but I cant have the router brackets hitting the walls of that pocket, and I need good accuracy. Is this a stupid quest or?? Any tip for how to achieve this would be great. A second question is what is a good spindle speed, feed rate, material milling, ratio. I know that its alot of parameters but some guiding in the right direction maybe. I have 5mm threads on the feed-screws and about 600 rpm. I know this is very hard to answer but where should I start? best regards per |
