The 'Open' sign on my new milling machine

I put these vids together to show some of my family what I've been working on over the last few months. This was literally the first thing cut on the new machine, just because it was easy to setup. Currently, I'm jigless so I can't really do any of my regular stuff, so it's just been a mixmatch of whatever I can screw down to the spoilboaord, which will hit the trash as soon as my alum table is flattened.

I'm having my table flattened and t-slotted this week (too big for this machine to do) so I will have more flexibility, and can properly flatten my own jigs when I get the table back.

Enjoy!

Maybe the good folks at vectric will give me a discount for promoting their product???

Its a mini mill spindle being driven by a nema34 servo motor through L sized pulleys and belt. You can buy the spindle head from littlemachineshop.com. I forget what it cost...

Nice machine, like the spindle.

What are some pros and cons in using a spindle like this, I have a 1 3/4 HP router and it is so noisy. I would be cutting plywood, MDF and Aluminum in that order of frequency.
Thanks

Fatal, is this the one http://littlemachineshop.com/product...1944&category=

Does it have everything all I need to do is add a pulley and a motor, what RPMs are they rated at, I need to go 22,000. What are you running yours at? Why use a stepper instead of a regular motor? Thanks.
