Hi all Just chucking this thought out into the ether. Is it practical with a robust steel CNC router, to remove the router attachment and replace it with a turret punch assembly? My need would be to punch right angle corners into aluminium sheeting and then subsequently join the corners by then replacing the turret punch with a conventional router / spindle. So, for example, the finished product would a 1mm thick 300 * 300 aluminium sheet with a square cut out with sides 200 * 200. I appreciate positioning could be the issue but my main question is around the manufacturing of a turret punch assembly. Has anyone tried this? Can anyone promote the basic pirnciples of turret punching? Thanks Andy
