oh my god another Newbie

Hi sorry about the last post the baby was shouting about its nappy/diaper thingy. well hi im new to this im looking to build a cnc machine the can deal with full size pieces of mdf or plywood IE: 2500 x 1220 mm i would if possible love to be able to cut 3 or 4 mm ally sheet as well firstly what size would you recomend the machine be is 100 mm over each side enough so bed size 2700 x 1420, i am looking to build the bed and framework in steel as a mig is at hand. im also looking for the best place to source the components sindles bearings stepper (sorry about double post) in the uk and looking for a better understanding of the electrical bits needed i know i need a controller that plugs in to the pc and motors that move the spindles is there more that goes in between im geussing there is. and is this http://www.hobbycnc.com/hcncpropkg.php suitable to run this size of machine. or should i be looking at something bigger.

Im going to have to deal with postage due to the fact i live in france but my language skills are not so good at the moment and they have funny names for the strangest things so it make going into a machine shop for things very hard indeed so other than metal i will purchase in the uk or the states thanks in advance for helping another newbie.

Buy me a Beer?

For mechanical parts, world-wide, look at the Misumi site. I have found them very good, the free catalogue is worth it just for a reference manual.

HobbyCNC could not drive steppers big enough to deal with a machine that big.
