Are there any UK builders out there? that could recommend good place for Ally Profile bearings and such things as steppers and controllers as well. Looking for a reputable source. And one that doesnt minds newbies going through the catalog and digging through the shelves out back. |

| hi i'm new to this too and trying to source parts in the Uk, keep finding that all the machines and parts are US designed and are imperial not metric. I want to find a metric machine so i don't have to import components etc. Rockcliff seem to have metric plans and also found this site for parts http://www.worldofcnc.com/main.asp Also if you are after budget electrics, http://www.hobbycnc.com/ do motors and controllers etc and will ship to the UK and i would guess France too |

| Dear visualbyte, This thread, started by Kipper, lists some UK sources... http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39095. Personally, I'm increasingly convinced that the best sources are usually in the US, even when shipping and taxes are taken into account. Others may disagree. Best wishes, and bon chance... Martin |
