These linear rails. What is the retail value?

Does anyone have an idea of what these rails might cost ?
They come as a kit with this number:
NSK_LY351330EL2RO1P5Z1 .....but they never mention prices.

I could be getting into real trouble with my wife.....looking for positive evidence here as I paid $345 USD for them. Ohh....... a major purchase for me.

Nsk makes some pretty good rails from what I've heard from my friends. By that tape measure they look to be 48 inches. $345 isn't too bad in my opinion. As far as the new price, no idea.

Bloy2004

I believe NSK numbers there parts similarly to how THK does it, so that would make these, almost larger than needed for hobby use.

I couldn’t find exact prices for NSK products, so I just looked on http://www.mcmaster.com/ for similarly sized rails and blocks.

Guide blocks PN 6250K65 $154.55 each
Guide rails PN 6250K7 $0.34/mm

Total $1520

So you shouldn’t have to sleep on the couch.

Whew!... Thanks Dan!.....now I CAN sleep. .....and save the marriage!
Oh, I found this info on the assemblies:

http://www.tec.nsk.com/switch.asp?pageID=eLinear

Ya, I kinda knew they were heavy duty, but the gantry that will sit on these of a 4x4 router/mill project is quite substantial. At least I found the length with 4 carriages.....

Bloy, you can look your wife in the face and honestly tell here that Benny wrote........

"Bloy, you could pay $1000s of dollars for these things."

The truth is you could pay thousands of dollars for these things,....... if you were prepared to get ripped off.
The truth is, I did write those words too.

The truth is I really wouldnt have a clue what they should cost.

hey Benny, now to get permission for the mechanical drive parts....still thinking toward belts/pulleys with the shaft crossing to drive both sides of the gantry....BUT have to read up on the stresses/loads that the belts will be up against.....maybe the belts won't handle the beefy rig.

....one of the features that caught my attention was the double bearing grooves on the rail sides....adding stability for rapid moves.

I went away and thought about what I said in my last post here. I was wrong.
Even though in a court of law it probably wouldnt be called lying, there are higher laws again that would see it differently.

The lie is not in the words spoken, but in causing another to believe the opposite of the truth. No matter even if the words spoken are the truth.

It was wrong for me to try and cause my brother to stumble.

Dont take my previous advice.

Sorry

Bloy, I was the current winning bidder on those for several days and I was really starting to think I was going to get away with murder in the low $100's range. Congrats on a great score!

Oh, and if you're going to run your machine with belts, you don't deserve those rails...

Man, I was looking at those as well. No paycheck until next week though, so I was out of luck. I just have to be patient I guess.
