I am currently working on a 4 x 6' router made of 2" square tubing to cut soft materials. I was wondering what you people use to hold smaller pieces of work. Would a smaller 6" drill press vise work? I just need something that can hold a piece big enough to do tests on, then the table is going to be converted over to some sort of clamping system. The reason I wasn't sure about the drill press vise is because it seems to be really loose, it seemed as though if the machine pulled up on the work it would move as the moveable jaw is quite loose. |
