McMaster BS

Well as some of you know I was placing an order with mcmaster.
After a lot of pm's, and reading other forums it came to my attentions that people in canada / overseas had been having problems with mcmaster.

So I called up the company and made sure they shipped to canada.
The representative assured me they do, and even gave me a price and time of delevery for shipping.

So I called again different chump but same answer.

Feeling confedent I placed my order and got my hopes up.

That is when my world came shattering down.

"Derek,

Thank you for your order. Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing complexity of United States export regulations, McMaster-Carr can only process orders from a few long-established customers in Canada . We sincerely regret any inconvenience this causes you.

Please be assured that your credit card has not been charged.

Regards,

Kristina

"

I encourage everyone to spit on mcmasters face.

Derek,

I think it is stupid that you are pissed off in spite of being told by others that McMaster doesn't ship to Canada.
Sure, their order people should know better, but people from the forum had already told you they don't.
Did you think they were lying to you or something?
Silly.....

regards,
DJ

Your right DJ,

How silly it was of me to take the words of thier own sales reps over people in the forum. I guess I should have realized that those people in this forum take orders and ship out thier products everyday without getting paid. I should have seen the dedication of these individuals and not have been blindsided by the email responses from *@mcmaster.com .

Thanks for making me see the light DJ,

Derek L

What are you getting exicited about? Order from KBC instead. You will have your order in a couple of days, and won't have to pay any duty or brokerage.

I was looking at their webpage last night before I searched cnczone for any postings regarding them; it clearly stated they ship worldwide. if they don't want to ship to canada however, that is no problem as I'll happily do business with someone who will.
