What do you make with your CNC router?

Hi Guys,


I've been on this site many times and accumulated enough knowledge and ideas to build my own CNC router. It's fairly small with a 21" x 23" working envelope. I built it from mild steel and aluminum so I'm hoping it will last for a long time.

My question is for all the folks out there who have built their own CNC router: What do you make with your machine? Do you use it for business or a hobby? I built mine so that one day maybe I could make a few bucks with it. I'm just curious how other people use theirs. If you use it in a business application, where do you find the work? Advertising? Word-of-mouth? I know some people manufacture signs and plaques but what kinds of other products do people make? Thanks for sharing.

You limited by only your imagination. My machine is 4'x4' actually 52"x48" enough to handle half sheets of ply, MDF ect... for making speaker cabinets that are all exactly the same for sound reinforcement. Also for engraving and cutting out aluminum "rack" panels and of course in the grand tradition making the pieces for the next CNC project.
