Ballnut assembly ideas?

I have 2 5/8" Roton ball nuts and ballscrews coming and I'm trying to figure out the best way to remove the backlash.

I've read other posts, but want to know other people's opinions.

I'm going to use 2 ballnuts as I have no idea on how to preload to remove the backlash and this way I could control the drag and removal of backlash.

So from the other posts I've read you can either use them as a double nut and tighten them until the backlash is removed and still have pretty smooth, easy to move, motion. Or mount one and leave the other one floating with out turning with a 85-100 pound spring in between?

What's your preference? I personally don't really want to use a spring method beacause there is always a change of it moving, especially not knowing what kind of forces I'm dealing with on my CNC router, but I don't have any idea if that would happen with an 85-100 pound spring.

Comments welcome.

My idea so far is to use a piece of 1" I.D. x 1 1/2" I.D. of 1/4" or 3/8" or 1/2" wall (depending on what my supplier carries) rectangle aluminum. Slide a bearing in and use set screws to secure the ballnut and the aluminum block would have tapped holes to mount to my axis. Then tension up the other ballnut and set screw it. How's that sound. I mean I could somehow use a ballnut flange, but this serves the same purpose and I really didn't want to pay $35 to Roton for the flange. The flange was more expensive that the ballnut or ballscrew...weird. But that's normal companies always overcharge for the simple stuff.

I got the same setup your getting and Im planning to use a spring as a preload. I looked at the preloads for some techno isel ballnuts and they were rated at around 100lb. As for the $35 flange, I dont know how many times I Have cursed about it. I was planning to just make my own block, but nooo, they have to use a rare thread. I found a tap for the thread and it was $50.Heres my design. Im thinking of just getting rid of the threads on the ballnut, drill a whole in it and use some kind of pressfit pin or something to keep it in place
