Does anyone, who has see the video know... if you can edit travel paths in mach 3 like the video ..ie teach the system how maximize its tooling efficiency with a digitizer? Im just design my cnc system still, have not used mach 3 or beta vers. yet. but like what i seen in the video.... |

| You need 5 axis CAM software to create g-code for that, and I'm not sure that Mach3 can even run that code.

is the a way in general ... to opitimize tool paths as showen in video for flat carvings? |

| That's something the CAM software does. And what you're seeing there doesn't come cheap.

| Sorry, I hadn't watched the second video where the guy creates the toolpaths by dragging a probe across the part. That's probably proprietary Thermwood software that does that. Also, it's not 5 axis like I said before, but continuous 4 axis. Good 4 axis software should be able to create toolpaths like that, but again, they aren't cheap.
