I was just on the Enco web site(www.use-enco.com), and they have 1/2"-10 acme rod on sale at $3.49 for 3ft and $6.99 for 6ft. Larger diameters were on sale also. I am just starting to accumulate parts, and just found this forum so I am not sure, but this sounds like a good price. They didn't have any specs on tolerances, so has anyone used or know anything about this rod from Enco? Jeff |

| I'd recommend the Keystone from MSC. http://www.mscdirect.com/PDF.process...=451&Keyword=Y It's $10.20 for 3 ft, but It's probably better quality. The Enco stuff is probably standard acme, the MSC is for leadscrews. I have some and it's nice stuff. @ $17.65 for 10ft, Spend the extra $10 for better quality.

| The acme rod at Enco is by Keystone also. They don't show the Keystone part number so I don't know if it is the same as from MSC. Enco also has drill rod and Starrett ground flat stock on sale. http://www.use-enco.com/PDF/HOTDEALS/062004/63.pdf |
