Plan for DIY Router

Hi,

some of you might visited already ma page http://www.tron-cnc.de/english.html for my low cost DIY router.

Since the plan was published some month ago there are now the first repilcas of the router. Quite funny pictures are on the page published.

Are there any TRON builder on this page?

Hi Jens,
At last, I am now having all the parts laser cut. I did a test cut on one of the long sides and it was good. I have purchased the IGUS slides and will alse buy the screws.

I would like to use Reliance E240 dc servo's but I'm not sure if these would be powerfull enough.

Alternative is to use NEMA23 23KM-K723-11V steppers. I have plenty of these and willing to swap a set of 3 for a set of aluminium parts needed to mount the sevo's and bearings etc.

Is there someone who is making these parts that we can buy?

Hi Geoge,

I used 1.3NM Steppers for my machine, so the E240 should work as well...
Yes, whenyou got a licecne of my machine, you see in the bottom a link to the customer area. There is a list of vendors.

Do you have any pictures of the re-build?
Perhaps you can post them here?

The material including cutting and shipping cost (in Germany) ~140€-200€
I designed the whole in the sheets cost saving (no 90° angels, only round corners)

Perhaps you can also find a local laser shop, which could do it for some beers :-)
