I have finally started building a machine. The drawings are always a work in progress as my ideas keep changing. However, I am forging ahead. I have all of the linear bearings, ball screws and nuts, couplings, gears, racks, bearings, drive shaft, most of the small burnings and the limit switches. Will be using 495oz steppers on this build. I am hoping to use Mach3 and the Vectric suite. My design incorporates an equalizer shaft on the X axis to compensate for driving on one side. This allows me an open table. The table on this design is arbitrary, you could put a stump in a wheelbarrow and carve it! TTFN. Last edited by csrc; 10-15-2007 at 03:33 AM. |
