im sure this is the wrong area for this but im gonna ask anyways - what software are you people using to generate the g-code for routing? I have autocad and solidworks 2007.. is there any programs that will generate g-code without to much manipulation on my part? what are the names of them? any free ones out there??? this is the only thing that is holding me back from starting my project... any comments would be appreciated... |

| Here's an AutoCAD macro that will convert polylines to g-code. http://home.comcast.net/~cncwoodwork.../AC2GCv039.zip Just draw the polylines where you want the tool to go. Does multiple passes cutter comp, and lots of other stuff. There's a thread here. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8226
