ive been sarching for a while now and this is what ive found so far: xyz axis/base here- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=009 stepper motor kit here- http://www.probotix.com/multi_axis_s.../3axis_starter i want to go a little cheaper but dont have tools nessacary like table saw drill press etc. could any1 provide plans for a small tabletop mill that would be good for engraving cutting plastic(acrylic, polycarbonate) and wood. thanks in advance scratch that idea....im gonna build the frame like this 1 and mod it to suit my needs but still get my motors from probotix: http://www.geocities.com/dsa_project...cnc_table.html any1 forsee any problems? i also found motors here: http://www.hobbycnc.com/hcncpropkg.php which motors would suit best? | those motors are really weak... Might also look in to keling and xylotex(they have their own forums lilttle bit lower) Also if you want really nice desktop router look into widgetmasters mini and midi mills:.. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37739 http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21872 |

i ended up using angle steel to build my table which i found was a mistake considering the lack of steel cutting tools i have. knowing what i know now my next table will definately be made of wood. i probably could have finished a wood table in a month. at least the steel table will be sturdy enough to be accurate. so far the dimensions for my table are going to be 15"x19"x about 6-8"(not sure yet. still setting up that axis) ill try to post a pic of my progress later. im stuck at work atm..
