I have the Z axis/tool holder finished and I am working on setting up the Y axis gantry uprights. At the moment everything is locked down to a leveling table. Still waiting for my ACME screws to arrive. I added a couple new pages of pic's Check out the new front panel plugs on the PC for hooking up the motors http://www.el34world.com/Misc/Cnc/CNC0.htm |

| I know what MDF means. But I thought for you dont' use multiplex ( not that MDF Stuff whicht is everything but not stable - the natural grown fibre will work under environmental influences... how long did you store the wood before it has been gut to parts???.... Hansjoerg For my baseplate I use 21 mm Multiplex - it is also used for frames for cement moulds - very stable.. |

Hansjoerg, I had the oak in storage for a couple years before using it. This is just a test machine. I will build an aluminum machine after I see what works and what doesn't using the oak machine. |

Woohoo! It's up and running and it's working great so far. The first project was to make a new Z axis assembly, and that came out great thanks to Cambam. I had my first tool crash. Photo's of the finished machine, first project and crash here. http://www.el34world.com/Misc/Cnc/CNC0.htm |
