I wonder about how to make a frame for the linear slides that are exact in measure. What I mean is if the frame is a little bit offset i may make the linear slides a bit hard to move when the gantry is mounted. Even a small tension can be a big problem how does the professionals make a frame that have high precision. I think that a steel frame that is assembled with bolts is the best. Can any give me a good construction information. |

I have an idea I will mount my THK rails on a thin wall square steel tube using soft metal shims that should take up some missalignment in the steel surface, also the thin tube steel will help a lot to hold the rails straight and flat or...? |
