Hello guys I am working on the z axis for my machine. I have some ebay (IKO) rails that I thought I would use for the Z axis. I only plan to use one rail with the cutter being attached directly to the rail. The screw will be below it for the movement. This is a 1 inch rail travel 7-8 in. What do you guys think? Will the rail be sturdy enough? Any other foreseeable problems? Dimensions for the whole machine will be about 28X40 Ill try to attach a pic thanks Kev |

| Two blocks would be better, but it should work OK, provided the rail is mounted very solidly. Our 10HP routers at work are on a single 25mm rail with 2 blocks.
