I have a large worktable (about 2.5x1 meters) that is basically a wooden table slab screwed onto a welded metal frame. The frame uses ~1" square tubing and is basically just a rectangle with 4 feet. (The whole structure is heavy as h*ll) Could it be viable to cut away about a meter or so of the wood and mount some sort of rails directly to the metal frame? Then have a moving gantry on top of those... Hmm Christian W. |
