food for thought. but, it is still in research. what do you think? constists of permanent magnets, electromagnets and computer control. http://home.wanadoo.nl/lex.molenaar/PAMB/news.htm especially watch this video http://home.wanadoo.nl/lex.molenaar/...es/PAMB2_5.mpg question: what forum does this post belong? edit: also found at what seems to be newer site http://fly.to/pamb Last edited by jimbo; 04-20-2004 at 09:31 PM. |

| In the future, machines will be driven not my machines, but by the human brain designing the part. Part relationship would be calculated in the thoughts of the designer, and translated to the physical relm via "excess vaporization". A super-efficient means of machining, much like a depth adjusted laser but without all of the heat or danger of such a devise. I know, sounds insane...but then, I have been accused of being a liitle crazy at times-shut up!-butt out!- sorry...the voices in my head overwelm at times like this. No I don't know what in the hell I am talking about. Just trying to provide some comic relief.

| You were watching "Forbidden Planet" last night, weren't you? :-) I've been thinking along the lines of a Star Trek Replicator...lay down the atoms into the compounds necessary, and in their proper form. They do it straight from energy, but that's a LOOOONG way off. BTW, we're already building at the atomic level with scanning electron microscopes, and creating nanostructures. We're a long way away from doing this type of thing on the macro scale, but it just proves that it's possible. -- Chuck Knight |

15 years ago, having a computer that does evetything that we see today, was thought to be a long way off. I say that in 10-20 years or less, mind control to a computer will be effective. |
