For those of us not living in the US, this could be a good source of CNC components: http://www.pro.com.sg/CNC.htm I have bought my ballscrews and servo motors there, and for me the seller has been honest and very nice to deal with - and also seems to have a real interest in CNC machines! Arvid |

| Hi neighbour, For us here in Europe a very good place is www.ebay.de. Germany is the largest machine tool producer in the world, and that shows in the amount of equipment sold there. Used and new. First go to "business and industrie". Here are some useful search phrases: kugelumlauf* - Will give hits for ball screws and ball slides. kugelgewind* - Hits ball screws. linearf* - linear slides. schrittmot* - stepper motors and drives (71 hits just now) servo* - You guessed that one. lagerbock - pillow blocks. Use wildcard, that will give you hits also for those sellers that does not spell correctly. Beware: Lots of stepper drives, servo drives and VFD's are for 400V. You may not have that in your house, so check before buying. Google is a nice tool to find out what you are bidding on. And stay away from private auctions! They are almost always "pushed". Buy a "Braunschweig radio clock" so you can place your bid in the last seconds to avoid "climbers" raising the price. Or you can use a GPS clock if you have one. The eBay clock is exact. |

| Oh heck, looks like I'll have to learn German then !The scope of this hobby is just getting larger everytime I spend time on it! Lots of incentive to learn things! (But I really like it that way .) Right now I'm reading up on FPGA's and Verilog/VHDL programming...Thanks for the tip, Einar! Arvid |

| Ferenczyg: No. I meant what I wrote. But your URL bring up the same startpage, or at least it looks the same. When you click "Business & Industrie" you get to the same URL for both. So I guess pick the one you like the best. |
