Hey guys, Been lurking for a while. TONS of great info on this site... You've been a lot of help and inspiration. I have a benchtop cnc 3 axis w/ servos and want to upgrade to a 4th axis. The manufacturer (Flashcut) wants about $2500 for the upgrade... The controler is already set up for the 4th axis minus the driver. I have a bit of cnc experience with this and a plasma cutter, though electrics are my weakness... The questions: 1. The drivers in the controler are made by Logosolinc.com and are labeled FC-182-1210 I called them and was told $429 for another driver. Seems steep! Is there another way that is compatible? I can get pics of inside of box, other electrics, etc... 2. How hard is it to retrofit a 6" or 8" horizontal/vertical table for a servo? Simple bracket and coupler? 3. Sourcing the rotary table/adapter plate/5" or 6" chuck on ebay... Any recommendations, potential stumbling blocks, etc? Don't need super high precision, and have found set ups for about $500+/-... ideas? Thanks for the help. I look forward to accomplishing this little project. Pete www.sotmc.com |
