I think I finished with the machanics ,, now need to add home/limit switches and motor wiring.... Table is made from 5/8 partical board with some hardwood, short legs.. Gantry made from RED OAK [expensive stuff homedepot/loews] Rails are 3/4 EMT conduit partical board and hardwood braces 4 foot y axis is 1/2-13 with self align bearings , lead screw nut is 1/2 square steel ,, will later change to brass I think.. 2 foot x axis is 1/2-13 with make shift bearings brass lead screw nut in hardwood mounting z axis is 1/4-20 with 3/8x3/8x2 steel bar home made nut [ will improve] z axis skate bearings and angle iron x,y skate bearings and aluminum angle [expensive homedepot/lowes] Last edited by xtal; 04-08-2007 at 08:13 PM. Have tried using KCAM Kcam was easy to get going to test stuff... motion appears ok but may be dropping steps ,, sometime hear clunking sound..... what can I use to generate some gcode files for name writing , circles whatever.... Does anybody have a recommended diagram to connect limit and home switches using kcam and hobbycnc pro...... It went to h... in a hand basket when I tried to set it up I have been unable to get off the ground with Turbocnc and mach2/3 |
