| Your question almost answers itself. If you have to ask how to wire the feedback encoder, tuning the PID loop will be formidable. Unless you know you need servos and are comfy with the tech required, you should just stick with steppers.

| Sir, If you are using a step and direction controller, you need the Geckos which accept step and direction inputs AND feedback from the encoders. I think they are the 320 series; go to their site and review what they have. Others make such stepper drivers too; an outfit from Australia has a higher powered version of step-to-servo amps.
