need some help

ok so i was gonna build the phoenix just by looking at the pictures but thinking of building the jgro but i cant find a list or anything on what length to cut the pieces i did find somthing but didnt really understand it so if anyone could help me with this that would be cool i got the mdf and took the bearings outta my rollerblades till i get money to buy new ones lol i bought a martha stewart cutting board lol was gonna use that for the block things but i dont think its thick enough so ima give that to my mom and see where i can get one more thicker i seen some online but i dont have a credit card after i get that i'll get the angle iron from this place down the street from me he always give me scrap pieces then i get get started building ohhhh 1 more question do i have to tap every hole or cani just use regular wood screws? thanks again for any help i get

I'm not familure with what machine you want to build but I will help as much as possible to answer your questions. As far as the jgro if that is the one your intending to build. From what I have seen of that machine it is flawed with no support of the rails, but for a very small machine it may work ok.

the jgro is the one i want to build all i need to know are the dimensions of everything and where i might be able to find the block things for the pipe? or maybe i can make that outta the mdf i have but what size tap should i use?

download the free plans, the dimensions are all there less a couple little errors, nothing i think you can't figure out, blocks can be made out of delrin, hardwood, MDF or even aluminium, but it seems delrin works but though a little costly compared to MDF, as far as the tap is concerned i think it is 1/4" 20, information for all you need is in there, just get them and review it first like i did.

ty for the reply tajord i just went out and bought myself a tap set and i downloaded the jgro plans i kinda understand the plans but the sizes kinda confuse me like .75 i think is 3/4 but 2.00 dont know if thats 2 inches or feet. when i understand things a little more id be able to make some progress thanks again for the help

2.875 is two and seven eights. 2.88 is 5 thousands of an inch more than that. Think small.

2.88 is probably 2-7/8" with the dimensions set to display only 2 places, and they're getting rounded off.
