Where to get cheap parts for a Homemade Router

Hi everyone,
Seeing how poplular building a homemade router is, I decided that I could use it on some of my own projects. I was just wondering, what is a good place online to get leadscrew assemblies and linear bearings? Ebay? Or should I just scout around local surplus stores on occasion to find a good deal? How much should I expect to pay for a homemade router (w/out electronics) and what is the time commitment?

This really all depends on your objective.
1. How large? (the smaller the machine the less expensive, unless looking for high accuracy)
2. How accurate? (is .01 good enough?)
3. What materials are you going to cut? (balsa, oak, mdf, aluminum?)
4. What kind of capabilities do you have to make detail parts?
5. What kind of spindle motor do you want to use? (small dremel, trim router, full size router)
6. How much time of yours are you willing too invest?

Thanks for the links.
accuracy is probably semi-important. But this will be my first router attempt. I already have a mill and am looking for something somewhat bigger maybe 20"x20". I will probably be using it to make cut outs and make a bigger machine to cut metals. Mainly I will be cutting plastic, wood and occasionally some carbon fiber. I am willing to invest time if it looks like the time will pay off.
