My First CNC tool: Mangle (or vice) with picture

I am a new forum member and just started working on CNC applications.
The first thing I learned controlling stepper motors. I build a control card and a power card.
I don't have any power supply and a tool like router to test my control boards. therefore I tested my boards and stepper motor with sealed lead acid bataries and vice (or mangle or clamp sorry I don't know which is true in English)
I wanted to share this test image.

I will construct a router which will work like vertical mill which will controlled by this controller board.

thanks for all forum writers for sharing lots of material here.

It is very hard to do something without many sources available. Batteries as a power source, cool. Keep at it.

Very cool- that reminds me of my first stepper experiments, except with an Apple II and home-built peripheral card. The LED's for watching the motor windings are a must. Looks like you have lots of fun ahead!

Gunol,

Vise is the correct term.
"Mangle" in english, is something that happens to a work piece when something goes wrong "it gets MANGLED (crushed, broken, badly deformed)"

a very funny pun (to a lateral mind) is that you've made your very own CNC mangle ...
