I go the limit switches but I find that one gets trigger a few seconds later a pulse is sent out from the Xylotex control to the motors which cause all the motors to move a bit and this movement is not tracked in Mach3. For example I set X and Y to 0 then cause z to trip the limit switch. Wait about 3 seconds and all motors get a shot of powers, sort like lets vibrate them all. All motors are move somewhat and are really not zero'd any more. I have no clue where to look as to what is causing this. At this point if the machine hits a limit switch I would have to re zero the entire machine as I have no clue where any axis is located at. Got any ideas? |

Any time you hit a limit switch, it's a good idea to re-home the machine or re-zero the axis. Limit switches are a safety device. You shouldn't be hitting them on a regular basis. If you are, you need to figure out why and correct the problem.

| Thanks ger, I figure that I am getting noise but I suspect it is not from the lines its either from the computer or the CandCNC boards. My gut says the CandCNC board is reacting to the limit switch being toggle and reacting internally. If it were the lines or the computer I would expect to see it from time to time between hitting limiting switches. While I agree with the rehoming I don't agree with the rather agreesive pulsation of the motors when the limit switches are hit. I don't plan on hitting the limit switchs (z might be a little easier to hit while jogging) just figuring/adjusting the entire system out before I start working with it. |

Correct. They shouldn't move at all. I'm not syaing the lines are generating noise, they're picking it up somehow.
