Hello everyone, I started thinking out my first machine and have one question. I see from the posts that most machines have a flex coupler attaching the stepper motor to the screw rather than a hard connect. I was thinking of a belt drive with a 2:1 reduction for my connection to increase torque. Why do most machines use a flex ? Also does anyone see a problem with the belt system ? Thanks, Jon |
