Stepper Package

I am trying to decide between these;

http://www.hobbycnc.com/cncpackages/...125ozin31v.htm

http://www.stepperworld.com/sp3HT.htm (upgraded to fet3)

or

http://www.xylotex.com/#3axis

What do yo think?

3/8 allthread leadscrew 24"x24" cutting area. Just cut'n wood...

I now have the xylotex board and what a diffenece! There is no comparacin. FOR THE MONEY! XYLOTEX ALL THE WAY. I dont think there is an unhappy xylotex customer out there? If so speak up..

I have the hobbycnc 125 oz. package on my home made done and it works well but I only get about 12ipm on my machine. It's made with rollerbearings and gas pipe.

You tell that sp3-ht is slower, can you elabore on it? Does it means slower connection with pc, slower motor rpm or other?

Thanks for reply,

Alex

Motor rpm. It seems it's very hard to get over 120 rpm with it, even at higher voltages.

I have the sp3-ht , i can`t get more that 100rpm, how more you could expect from a xylotek board?

Thanks,

Alex

For the price this will make a good upgrade for a 3/8-16 leadscrew driven machine!! 3 time faster...

Thanks for the reply,

Alex

I have a Xylotex on my home made MDF, pipe and roller blade bearings, and it works great! I am using 1/4-20 threaded rod and cuttingboard for the leadscrew and nuts, I just measured my jog speed, 10.5" in 15 seconds. That is 42" per minute. I have the driver set to 1/8 step, and I am using a 24V 4.5A power supply.
I love this board, I am so happy I got it and didn't bother with anything else.
Also, I am using Mach2, and it is fantastic as well. I cant imagine a better combination.
