I found a nice thread a while back which addressed a bunch of concerns regarding machine requirements based on what was to be made. wood, aluminum, accuracy, etc.

It went into acme screw, ballscrews ground/rolled, rails, bearings, etc

i cant find it anywhere.. any ideas?? It had some good info.
