| I have two very nice Omron limit switches I was going to use as X and Y home switches, with cheaper less precise switches as axis limits. I am using mach3 with a campbell b/out board. It occurred to me that I could mount the switch on the moving part of an axis and just have a target at home and at end of axis travel, ie only one switch needed per axis. I know people do this with proximity sensors, anyone doing this on their machine? I throw this open for comment. |

| Haydn, Yep, been there done that. That is the way my mill/drill is setup on the X and Y axis. I also use them as Home/Limit switches. Mine are very similar and I use TurboCNC but I think mach also allow use of home as limits as well. Bubba
